NC Governor Beverly Purdue and the Democrats in NC state government have
shown again and again that they do not have the best interests of NC taxpayers
at heart. This November, the Republican Party has an excellent opportunity to
take a majority position in the NC General Assembly and the Governor's
Mansion. All Republicans and like-minded fiscally conservative Democrats and
Unafilliated voters are strongly encouraged to pick a House and/or Senate
district that has a Democrat incumbent running against a Republican challenger
(or a Republican incumbent with a Democrat challenger) and support that
Republican with your time and your money. You want jobs back in NC? Then we
have to do something besides offering weak incentives. We need to make the
environment more business-friendly, support those businesses we already have,
implement policy that benefits all, not just a select few.
Novemeber is not that far off. Find a Republican and offer your support!
The following are contested races we know about in the North Carolina
General Assembly, listed in order by district number. This is a preliminary
list and quite subject to change and growth as November approaches. First the
Senate, then the House.

Another way you can help make an impact on the General Assembly makeup is to
pool your money with other like-minded conservatives. From the
Win Big NC website:
"Win Big NC is an individual state pac established by several businessman in
the Triad area. This has been done on a completely voluntary basis with the
hope of changing the face of North Carolina politics for the better. It is
under-girded by Christian principals and a desire to make positive change.
"The specific purpose of the organization for 2010 is to elect enough NC House
and NC Senate members in the election in November to control the NC General
Assembly and thereby implement needed change in North Carolina. We will
spotlight the districts we need to win to make the difference in 2010.
"Conservative candidates have been outspent in state races 5 to 1 or more in
the past. This Pac's intention is to raise a significant amount of money and
give it to the conservative candidates in the 15 or more most competitive
districts in the state."
