- The Mecklenburg County Republican Party will hold annual Lincoln-Reagan
Day Dinner on Friday evening, 04 April 2008 in the Palmer Building in
Charlotte. The event opens at 5:30 pm with a reception followed by the
dinner at 7:00 pm.

- The Cabarrus County Republican Party will hold annual Reagan Day Dinner
on Saturday evening, 05 April 2008, beginning at 6:00 pm at the beautiful
Kannapolis Country Club main clubhouse, located at 1196 Fairway Drive,
Kannapolis, NC, 704-932-2525. Tickets are $50.00 per person and must be

- The 8th District Republican Party will hold its 2008 Convention on
12 April 2008 in the Stanly County Commissioners meeting room at the
Stanly Commons (the same location as last year). Registration will open
at 8:30 am and close at 9:50 am. The convention will gavel to order at
10:00 am sharp. Our two main responsibilities at this convention will be
to elect three delegates and three alternates to the Republican National
Convention and to elect an Elector to cast our ballot in Raleigh for the
Electoral College. The Stanly Commons is located in Albemarle, directly
across from Stanly Memorial Hospital on First Street and can also be
accessed from Second Street.

- All Union County candidates and residents are cordially invited to the
Candidates Breakfast and Forum, to be held on Saturday, 12 April 2008, at
8:00 am at the Union County Agriculture Center. The forum, sponsored by the
Union County Farm Bureau, will provide an opportunity for candidates to meet
their constituents and discuss important topics as well as a chance for voters
to educate themselves on the policy each candidate plans to implement if
elected. Everyone is welcome.

- The Richmond County Republican Party will hold a Dinner Meeting on
Tuesday, 15 April 2008, beginning at 6:00 pm, at the Ellerbe Springs
Restaurant & Inn, located at 2537 Hwy. 220. Our special guests will be
candidates Mrs. Janice Abernathy for NC Senate District 25, Joe Johnson
for Superintendant of Public Instruction, Edward O'Neal for Richmond
County Commissioner, and Ben Moss, Jr. for Richmond County Commissioner.
We will be talking about our next local election, coming on May 6th, and
the future of our town and county. All Republicans and Independents are

- The Union County Republican Party will hold a Grand Opening for its
new Party Headquarters on 01 March 2008 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. The
HQ is located at 100 Myers St., Suite C, in Monroe.

03 March 2008 at the Scotland County Courthouse beginning at 7:00 pm.

- The Montgomery County Republican Party will hold its 2008 Convention on
04 March 2008 at the Public Library in Troy beginning at 7:00 pm.

- The Cabarrus County Republican Party will hold its 2008 Convention on
08 March 2008 at J. N. Fries Middle School in Concord, NC. Registration
will open at 9:00 am and the convention will open with precinct meetings
beginning at 10:00 am. The school is located off of Old Charlotte Road
approximately one mile from its intersection with NC Hwy. 49.

- The Mecklenburg County Republican Party will hold its 2008 Convention on
08 March 2008 in McKnight Hall on the campus of UNC-Charlotte in Charlotte
beginning at 9:00 am. A debate will follow the convention, beginning at
11:00 am.

- On Monday, 10 March 2008, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, the Fred Smith for Governor
in 2008 campaign will be hosting an old-fashioned BBQ at the Rockingham Junior
High School. During this "conversation with the people" stop in his state-wide
tour, Fred will touch on issues important to the people of Richmond County and
the state, and will us how he intends to improve North Carolina.

- The Richmond County GOP will host a Senior Republican meeting and county
precinct organizational meetings from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on 11 March 2008 at the
Rockingham Senior Center, located at 225 S. Lawrence St. in Rockingham, next
to the downtown fire station. Refreshments will be served at 5:30 pm in
coordination with the county precinct organizational meetings until 6:00 pm.
We will talk about our next local election, coming on May 6th, and the future
of our town and country. All Republicans and Independents are always welcome

- Immediately after the Senior Republican meeting (above), the Richmond County
GOP will hold our annual Republican Party County Convention at the Rockingham
Senior Center (see above for address) from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Delegates
for the upcoming election will be chosen as well as allowing people to get
information concerning many of the candidates running for office. This is an
important part of the political process and helps builds the system as the
"grassroots" have the opportunity to establish the foundation of the Party platform.
We want to see every registered Republican and anyone else who may want to
become a part of our family and help us as we continue to build the party through
growth and participation while we work toward moving the Richmond County
Republican Party forward into a brighter future for our county. Richmond
County needs a strong second voice and everyone needs to know that we are here
and we will be heard. Please attend the Richmond County GOP Convention from
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Rockingham Senior Center.

2008 at the Szechuan Empire restaurant in Wadesboro. Registration will
begin at 4:00 pm and the convention will come to order at 4:30 pm. The

- There will be a reception and fundraiser for US Representative Robin
Hayes featuring special guest US Representative John Boehner on
Saturday, 15 March 2008, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at 5662 Burck Drive
in Afton Village in Concord (Cabarrus County). Representative Boehner is the GOP House
Leader and a close friend of Rep. Hayes. This will be a great event
